Another page from my England trip.
Laurie and I left the British Museum looking for antique stores. Laurie had a lead on some particular stores so we hopped the tube to Covent Garden. On the way to the station we ran into Barb and Jan; they decided to tag along with us. As we left the station at Covent Garden we went down a few side streets. We didn't see any antique stores, but we did see the Shakespeare's Head Pub. We at lunch, I had the Beef Wellington. Yuck! That was my second attempt at English fare and again I was disappointed. From here on out I'm sticking to American food.
As we wound through the streets looking for antique shops we found ourselves on Regent Street. We discovered familiar landmarks - shopping stores! There was a Warner Bros. Studio Store, Harley-Davidson, FAO Schwartz, Things Remembered and a Disney Store! Imagine my glee when I saw the window display was my favorite character: Ariel! The store was 2 stories high! WOW! Had to shop - had to buy!
