In Bolivia the Aymara (indians) use their feet to smash potatoes that they make a dish called chuño. I prefer that to the Chicha drink which is made form corn that has been chewed and spit into a pot where it is allowed to fermint. One of the most interesting things about travel is all the food one encounters.
When the beans are dried they are put in a large iron vat and a "cocoa dancer" climbs in the "stirs" the beans with his feet, amazing moves this dancer had, he worked every muscle in his body swirling and swiveling to bruise the beans.(I think this is like the grape crushing with feet in Italy, only done now to show the tourist)
