SHCG: Jess, this is rad! I love the pictures and your take on the pencil lines sketch. I have three suggestions but I am not 100% about any of them. First, mount the pictures on black. Second, mount the patterned paper on black with the lace borders connecting the black with the green. Finally, third put the lace where the patterned paper meets the green. However, I love this the way it is and I am always glad to see your work! xoxoxo
SHCG: hee hee a page on torture devices. I'm just not sure what the button/flower/white paper things (look like sheep to me) are and how they relate.
PS glad to read I am not alone and others thought they were sheep too.
SHCG - Looks like you had a blast! Adorable embellie clusters, but I Nicole's idea of spreading them out a bit so we get to see them better (while still keeping them as corner clusters like that). I like the dramatically wide top margin but think you could make the bottom border just a little wider for more balance & still keep the design impact of the space on top. The lace, flowers & bird/swirls rubons give a lovely, old time-y feeling that goes well w/ the Ripley's era stuff. Fun colors/pp. Great job using a sketch for this one, Jess!
SHCG: what fun pics! I like how you've done the LO, but I would spread out the buttons with the flowers a bit. They kinda look like sheep at first glance.
SHCG: I like how the Cricut fonts actually look like the Ripley's slogan font. When I first saw those white puffs with buttons, I thought they were sheep, until I zoomed in. They're still cute and I love the rub on flourishes, especially the one with the bird. I'm okay with the photo placement. Actually, my only suggestion would be to fill both those gaps between the lacy strips and the striped pp with a strip of a pink cs that complements the green bg cs. I think this will also play up the pink hues in the photos.
Very cute. The things that caught my eye were the amount of space above the title it draws my eye away from your pics. Then I would spread out your flower/rub on/ button clusters a bit they are a little too compact for my taste. Love the idea of some flourish stamps. I also like how you used the lace borders on either side of you pattern paper! I've been to Ripley's it a hoot that's for sure!
SHCG: Jess, I really like this page, but it feels a little off balance to me and I think it may be because of the placement of the pictures. If possible I would start out by moving the "lacy borders" right on top of the patterned paper, just to start clustering everything together. Then you may have to play with the placement a bit, but just from looking at the screen, I think I would move the three pictures so that they are in a row, maybe a little off center of the patterned paper. Then maybe you could move your little flower clusters in a bunch so they are just on top of the botom right corner of your pictures. At this point without seeing it I am not 100% sure what I would do with your title... Also, if you feel comfortable or if you have stamps I would draw some large swirls to match your smaller rubons kind of all over the layout. Hope this all makes sense.
SHCG: Neat work! I'd use different fonts on the cricut though - the top one is hard for me to read and that teardrop one was never one of my favorites.
I used the pencil lines sketch #67 for this page. The pictures are of when we all went to ocean city for the day. We ended up going into the Ripley's believe it or not exhibit, which was very entertaining. This was actually used a while ago. The "Believe It" part of my title is a bit hard to see in the picture, but it's outlined in black and is easier to see the words IRL. AND I finally got to use my cricut design studio!!
