Before and in progress pictures of a porch project that I did at my house last summer. Journaling reads: "The back porch was added to the house in 1999 by the previous owners. They used very cheap lumber. It rotted more every year, and leaked water into the basement below. Dad helped me to lay a new plywood deck. When we tore up the old lumber we found a colony of carpenter ants (!!) Mom helped to paint and stain everything, and Butch fixed up the railings. I love the 'new' back porch - and I can't wait to relax on it when the weather gets warm again." The little circle journal on the right reads "Almost finished. In the spring the railings will be finished and put back on."
