With this LO, I placed 7th in the Advanced category during week 4 of the Stand Up + Scrap contest.
journaling:
When you left for work at night, I would go up to your room and carefully bring down the large cardboard boxes. Inside were piles and piles of old family photographs.Mostly black & white...Perhaps that's why this one stood out to me. You looked so young & smart in your cream coat and orange leather shoes. It's the moment I fell in love with the color orange.

All throughout my life, I've surrounded myself with shades of orange. I love eating citrusy things, especially mandarin orange. I love how the Manila mango is orangey inside when it is really sweet. Deep orange, bright orange, reddish orange, yellow orange and coral. Because this color sings to me like how you used to sing in the mornings or while you cooked dinner for us.

Although Ron secretly threw out my favorite brown & orange shirt...he ended up, buying an orange polo shirt, which he now where's all the time. To the point where his mom has asked if he has anything else to wear! Half my closet is orange. What else would I carry with me down the aisle, but a bouquet of tropical orange & red flowers, wrapped in an orange mesh & tied it with orange & red ribbon. Orange warms my heart and brings me joy...just like the ones I love. O - How you'd made my life absolutely golden.
