It may have taking a lot of folding, but the end effect is beautiful. Like that you chose a floral photo to go with it - or probably that is vice versa... very appropriate.
This is absolutely fantastic! I saw those pleats demonstrated on a DIY Scrapbooking show...and I was impressed at the time, and plan on trying this out one day....it looks absolutely GORGEOUS on your page! you did one heck of a job here! I love the tedious details...I'm gonna have to try this....eventually.....makes me tired thinking about it right now :O) really beautiful page!
I have watched Anna demonstrate her beautiful work on Sandi Genovese's scrapbook show. I recorded them to watch over and over. She makes it look so easy. I want to try. Beautiful job!!!
Well all your work was worth it - to me anyhow...just to be able to view it. WOW really beautiful. I'm so glad I have you as a 'favorite artist' so I did not miss this. Your 'description' made me laugh. TFS.
This spread is purely Ann Griffin: She is THE guru of paper manipulation. and if I never see another pleat I will be a happy camper (even if it rains)! The frame around the photo is box-pleats. The green 'quilted' frame under it is waaay to complicated to describe here. Heck, I didn't understand it, when I did it. I do remember measuring and drawing on the diagnal both ways. Then folding the paper this way and that until I figured it looked good. If any one is REALLY interested in trying this technique, I THINK I have instructions in my computer (somewhere), and if you leave a comment in my profile, I'll get back to you... promise. Additionally, there are 8 different layers of Anna's paper and I used her ribbon for the bows and corners.
