Oh, I remember this one from when you first posted it. It's a fantastic page in every respect and I can't understand why I didn't favourite it then. I sure will now. LOL!
What a beautiful LO and story. I love how you were able to "accentuate the positive and eliminate the negative" from your journaling. That was a quote my mom always used with me when I was a teen!
What a sad sad story. But I agree, he does look happy in this one picture. and you've created something beautiful here. I like the absense of color here too. I think it's perfect just like it is!
I commented on this before and I will do it again because I adore this lo! It is already in my favs. Love the old' school feel, the colors are perfect and the picture is awesome!
SUCH A SAD STORY. YOU LOOK AT THAT HAPPY BOY IN THAT PHOTO AND IT BREAKS YOUR HEART TO HEAR WHAT HIS WHOLE LIFE WAS GOING TO BE ABOUT. BUT YOU HAVE GIVEN HIM A HAPPY DAY THAT WILL LAST FOREVER. THIS IS GORGEOUS. I LOVE IT.
Poor soul, what a tragic existence, I love the way you put this page together and the photo does seem testament that at least one day was happy, TFS XXX
I didnt notice the Green Day song quote till after I left my first comment on here. I was too busy looking at all the other elements that I loved. My DD Kimberley and I are very impressed! She loves it simply for the GD reference but I love how it speaks of two different generations coming together in one LO!
Outstanding job. The photo is wonderful and you did a heck of a job dealing with it. It's fabulous, the happiness card is wonderful, love it. The clock is a great tough too. Wonderful.
You captured the spirit that was in him as a little boy. I suggest adding the real story of his life-- maybe underneath as hidden journaling...I am SO happy you did this-- it is scrap therapy!
This is for the "Negative Space Challenge". This lo really means alot to me because my Father had a horrible life. He was abused as a child, was a bad father and a bad husband. He was an alcoholic much of his life and for the last 12, he was paraplegic. When I look at this photo, I think that maybe he was happy for one day. I have scrapped this pic before, but it included all of the above journaling. When I re-did it this time, I took all of that off because I just wanted him to be "happy" with no negativity on the lo (well, except for the space of course!). Thanks for looking.
