Oops..I forgot to add the journaling here...so here it is:
Remodeling the kitchen was a full time job done on a part time basis. It took weeks of planning, days of designing, hours of shopping, many nights worth of work, tons of dust/dirt and mess plus a lot of money. We put up drywall, installed a new floor, new cabinets/countertop, added new appliances, tile backsplash and did it all with a pinch of love and laughter. The outcome was well worth all of it.
We did most of the work ourselves with the help of a part time handyman. We found comfort in ripping down the ceiling and taking a sledgehammer to the pressed board cabinets we spent years painting and repainting.
The goal was to have a cozy workable kitchen with a feeling of Tuscany a place we dream of visiting. With the kitchen now completed and with the wine rack stocked - I think we have achieved our goal!
Our favorite room to entertain? Of course it's the kitchen! Bon Appetit!"
