My mom has a tradition of giving a handstitched handkerchief to her friends when one of their kids get married. The daughter of her friend, Cathy, is getting married this spring. I made this card for my mom to give to Cathy along with the handkerchief. The color of the wedding is black and white with a touch of dark red... The poem inside the card reads: Your daughter is about to wed, Become a fine man's wife. Together they will venture out, And start a brand new life.
It seems like only yesterday A baby girl was she, Today a bride with grace and charm, As lovely as can be.
This hanky brings best wishes for The day that she will wed, A keepsake that is meant to hold The happy tears you'll shed.
When she is walking down the aisle, Your heart will fill with pride, Yet bittersweet the moment is For Mother of the Bride.
