Turkey - Ephesus June 2005

This is the 5th layout about my trip to Greece, and this is the excursion of Turkey that i did half a day from the cruise...
Journaling :

Ephesus is an ancient city preserved very well. The paved streets are now borrowed by lots of tourists, but we can try to imagine what was this commercial city at the time. Ephesus was one of the most Important ancient cities of Turkey. At the 1st century before J.-C., the urban population reached the 200 000 habitants! The frontage of the library is admirably well preserved and the theatre is of an impressive dimension (25000 places).
