My first night in Monterey, CA was spent with a long-time friend. Dorothy and I attended high school together and her twin's daughter is my godchild (you may remember from my Oct Sweet 16 photos). Dorothy moved to Monterey with me in 1973 and has lived there ever since. She lives along the Asilimar beach in Monterey. It was a bit cold for me, but the sunset was beautiful. I remember tourists used to get stranded on these rocks when the tide came in. There are all kinds of little animals and shells that live in the tide pools along these rocks and the houses that face this view are amazing.
