This is my nephew at the familiy's 4th of July picnic. I was in awe of his bug catching abilities. Folder opens to reveal hidden journaling and another pic.

Used Rusty Pickle Freedom line papers, RP tags, hardware, and bingo letters. Used E-Cuts America, America.

Hidden journaling:
At the 4th of July picnic, Matthew and his cousins went on a bug collecting expedition.

I watched Matthew reach for a flower. I thought to myself, he is going to be disappointed when he comes away from that flower empty handed. I didn't see any bugs on the flower for him to collect. Matthew grabbed the flower and gave it a couple of good shakes into his net. He came away with 3 beetles! Little did I know that Matthew is a bug catching expert. He has plenty of experience helping his dad rid their garden of those pesky Japanese beetles.

By the time they were finished, they had collected at least 15 beetles. I wondered what they were going to do with them. They decided to let them go– a fitting Independence Day fate for the beetles, although I’m sure the gardeners of the world would disagree!

Small tag folder front:
Japanese beetle: popillia japonica- loathed by gardeners because of its destructive nature, but loved by little boy beetle baggers because of its easy catchability!
