A pic taken at Easter of dh and I, but our anniversary was only 5 days earlier so I'm using it for that. I have to tell you I was really excited to be able to use pink!! I don't get many opportunities so I hope dh doesn't mind. :-P

Journaling: today is our 8th anniversary. we have certainly been through our share of low points in the 12 total years we’ve been together. but the high points more than outweigh them. i am so thankful you’ve put up with the neurotic, controlling, often selfish woman i can be. i know my life would never be as good with anyone else as it is with you. i remember vividly the first time i saw you, walking by my desk at work. i knew then i would marry you even though my friends and co-workers thought i was insane. who knew you would actually turn out to be my best friend as well as my husband?! god knew. he knew you were what i needed to settle me down and to put me on the right path in my life. i thank him every night before i fall asleep he sent you to me. and, i thank him every morning he let me wake up next to you another day. your mom once told me she thought you and i had a marriage like she had with your father. i take that as a huge compliment since they were married for almost 55 years and were truly the love of each other’s lives. you are certainly my one true love, and i look forward to many more years of marriage with you, living in perfect harmony.
