Right from the early morning we knew it'll be a gorgeous day. The sky was cloudless and we could see Mt. Rainier from far away.

Once we got to the Paradise area, we headed for some of the steeper slopes to practise using our ice axes. The soft fresh snow wasn't the best for the self arrest practise but we managed to get two slides
going and had a great time learning different techniques.

The wind picked up and got stronger and stronger... so later on we found sheltered place vith a great view for lunch and some snowpack analysis afterwards.

It was still relatively early and the day was by far the best we got this year so we decided to head up to Panorama Point. We got some workout on the steep slope leading there and many more absolutely
stunning views at the top.
