I realised in my journalling for the first day of school layout that there were things I could include in another layout about Grade One. Luckily I had a photo to go with it!
Journalling: I really liked Miss Russell, my Year One teacher. I remember falling asleep in class once and she let me nap on the cushions we used to sit on at Circle Time. Another time I called her ‘Mum’ instead of Miss Russell. I loved Friday mornings because they were ‘wet days' when we did all kinds of hands on activities including science and cooking. I was very proud of learning my abc’s and remember clearly the first day I could spell ‘cat’.
