journaling:

How old are you?
23, almost 24

What's your passion?
Being a great mother and wife are at the top of my list. I want to make sure that my family is well taken care of and I will do anything for them. My other passions though, are obviously, scrapbooking, cooking, pictures of people that I love. =) I love music (even though I possess no talent here whatsoever).

How do you feel about your life and the direction it's going?
To be completely honest, I've never been happier with myself and the direction I'm going in than I am right now. For a long, long time I felt lost and as if I didn't have a place and I was very unsure of what I should be doing. Once Terrance was born, though, I started to feel more complete than I had for the 3 years prior. It was as if she was the catalyst in me finding and loving myself again. Once I started to feel complete everything just sort of fell into place.

Where do you see yourself five years from now?
Wow, I see lots of things. Where to begin… I see us in a home of our very own. By then Terrance should have a sibling or two. I hope to be going full force in any one of the careers that I plan on pursuing. This includes designing and teaching at a professional level or having a successful business of my own, or both. =) I wouldn't mind being known as superwoman.

Five years ago, where did you see yourself now?
Gosh, I don't think I have a real answer for that. I was 18 years old and I think it was right around this time that I really started to lose my confidence. This was the beginning of the low time in my life. I was uncertain and didn't know what to do.

What are you looking forward to the most in the next year?
Watching Terrance continue to grow, develop and learn new things! Celebrating her 1st birthday! Finishing my AA and then finding a really good job with benefits! =) Starting to pursue my Bachelor's degree. Moving into a house. Getting out of debt, finally! Having more teaching opportunities. Meeting all the girls on the RP design team. =)

What were you like as a child?
As a young child I was very shy and very reserved. As I got older, though, I started to come out of my shell and by high school I was an over confident, out spoken, opinionated girl that wore way too much black eyeliner and red lipstick!

What song will they play at your funeral?
Honestly, I'd never give this any thought until my best friend Jason told me that he wanted “A Long December” by the Counting Crows played at his. And actually, even though I've thought about it, I don't have an answer yet.

What is the one thing you could not live without?
I'm so indecisive, I don't know! I can tell you though that it'd have to be one of the following: scrapbooking supplies, music, coffee, make up, or deodorant

What's the best memory you have of your spouse?
When we first started dating and living together and we would sit and talk for hours and hours when he came home from work. =) Also, when we would drive out to Bully Creek singing along to “Touch Me” by The Doors.

If you were reincarnated, what would you like to come back as?
Definitely a bird. I'd love to be able to fly.

What's the best present you've ever received?
The Rachael Ray Furi knives my mom got me for Christmas last year. =)

What is your favorite way to relax?
I love to just sit with a freshly brewed cup of coffee and browse the internet.

What is your most admirable quality?
I'd say my ability to articulate and communicate.

What is your greatest achievement?
Becoming a wife and a mother. =)

What's your favorite food and why?
I love to cook so my favorite food is usually the new dish that I created (as long as it turns out yummy, which it usually does).

What's your best childhood memory?
Being at my grandma and grandpa's farm and spending the day wandering all over with Whitney.

What do you consider to be the most beautiful thing in the world?
Terrance.

What is your favorite kind of cheese?
I don't think I've eaten a cheese that I haven't liked.

What's your favorite color?
Green and brown, they're my signature colors.

What's your favorite language?
Oooh, I would love to be able to speak German or Italian. They're both so beautiful to listen to.

What's your favorite song ever?
There's no such thing as a favorite song for a Beatles fan.

What's your super power?
My ability to not stress out. I think I keep us balanced because Joe stresses out about everything.

If you could become very famous for something what would it be?
My dream is to be an award winning writer. Preferably the Pulitzer prize.

What did you want to be when you grew up?
When I was little I always, always prided myself on my ability to argue and thought for sure that I would make an excellent lawyer. I also always wanted to be a veterinarian because I love animals so much.

If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
I would tour each and every concentration camp through Europe. I have a profound interest in Nazi Germany and the Holocaust and think that it would be a very humbling and awakening experience.
