I love your page. It gives me an idea for something I can do to document my oldest son's battle with Kawasakii Disease at 22 months old. We do not have any hospital photos, temps of 105. Less than 2 weeks after we got him back home he quit breathing while his Nanna was watching him so I could clean. I lived next door to her, yet didn't know anything was wrong until I saw an ambulance pull in the drive. I thought something was wrong with my FIL, so I ran outside. Then a paramedic informed me that they were there because a 22 month old child had stopped breathing!! Back to the hospital we went for another 2 days.
Okay, sitting here in tears with my 2yr old DS hanging on me wondering what's wrong! That was so beautifuly written and those pictures are just great. We had a scare with our 4mo old DD recently when she spiked a fever of 103.3 in a very short time. Took her to the hospital, but they didn't keep her. When test results came back we found she had an E. coli infection in her blood. Scary stuff!!! We're still not over the rollercoaster ride since we have to take her for more tests on Thursday to ckeck her kidneys. So, I can understand how scary this was for you. I'm so glad your little girl was okay.
O.K. after the tears are now gone, I can share my story with you. I know how you must have felt. My 14 month old baby was sick a couple of weeks ago and had been running a fever of 103.4 for a couple of days and my husband called me at work to tell me that his fever was registering 105.3, 105.5 and even 106.1! I was freaking out! I didn't know what to do b/c I work 30 miles from home. It was very scary. I was calling any and everyone to help me figure out what do to and if his fever could really be that high. we did take him to the doctor and his fever was 104. We had been using one of those electronic ear therm. and apparently it was 1 degree off (thank goodness!). But it was definitely scary. It's so terrible when they are sick.
What a sweet sweet thing to scrap. It's unfortunate how it happened, but I bet you are glad you took the time and suffered through the heartache to make a page of it for both memory and for her sake. Glad to hear all is okay again!
What wonderful story to tell your child in the future to show her your love. And what a great story to share to the world! A Parent's love is definitely an A+ scrapbook topic.
I had to go get tissues cause I'm sitting here bawling! What a great thing to scrapbook for you little one. Such a miracle, she truly is. I'm glad everything turned out okay. As a mother, this really tugs at my heartstrings. God bless you all.
What an incredible story. I am so grateful for you that everything turned out and I certainly hope you never have to have that kind of fear again. I would think once is enough. She is a true miracle isn't she?
