This page was so fun to do, especially in light of the fact that I've been doing quite a bit of study recently on leaving a Godly Legacy for our children. I am very blessed!
Journaling reads:
I can remember from my youngest years being determined to get up early to enjoy a few quiet moments with my daddy. Always, when I made my way to the kitchen, as I rubbed the sleep from my eyes, I beheld my father pouring over Scripture spending time with his Savior. My roots are in Scripture and in the legacy of my daddy who lived his faith.
While the two pictures of my daddy and I are old, I did take the picture of the Bible today, open to one of my favorite passages of Scripture:
Listen, my son, to your father's instruction
and do not forsake your mother's teaching.
9 They will be a garland to grace your head
and a chain to adorn your neck. Proverbs 1:8-9
My father loves the Lord and it shows, every single day of his life, as he lives humbly and loves mercy.
My Daddy set the standard for the type of man I would marry. My parents instruction and teaching have surely been a garland gracing my head and a beautiful chain about my neck. Yes, my roots are in a godly legacy that I pray we will pass on through our sons and to their children and beyond!!!
