It's because we are not wearing the right color isn't it? Too many embellishments on our clothing and they don't want to be seen with us?! :) hhhhmmmmm
I'm sorry, I left my walking stick back by the style (stile?) can we go back?
Seriously, that was amazes me, they give classes here at the arboritum on how to built and design them but I better thy never made one like that!! Cool shot and I promise to behave, it's all Mosey's fault.
Oh I am so enjoying the scenery on this walk. At least we are not climbing right now - this is lovely and flat. And the wall is quite a sight! Just a beautiful day, isn't it?
I love your scenery shots. For me, who will most likely never get to see your lovely homeland, it's such a treat!! The pictures you take are breathtaking!
Very cool! Love the history :) Why does this photo make me want to whistle... "Heigh-Ho, Heigh-Ho -- it's off to work we go!" Forgive my impudence, Kell - I'm very sleepy and need to get to bed ;) Lovely shot - TFS! -- kimB
I think we will get you all up on to the road for a while to calm down, my walking group are trying to ignore you all!!
Some of you will be familiar with the walls in the Cotswold region but even I have never seen a wall this high before. They are built from cut limestone and built without mortar, just resting on each other, I tried it once but it just fell down, imagine the craftsmanship needed to build a wall like this. to answer a previous question, to cap the wall they either put a layer of mortar on the top like the previous photo or like this one, a row of vertical stones.
