This is my favorite lo to date... The whole idea came from one transparency page I found at a local cs. I then had a epiphany when I read about people using water colors. I didn't have a background paper that I particularly liked for this theme, so I decided to make my own. using these watercolor brushes that hold the water in the handle I took basic colors and just kinda 'swooshed' them on a piece of white cardstock. I let that dry overnight and then I picked out the three best pics that I could make square to fit those spots under the transparency and then used dec scissors (wave) to make it less formal. Then I took my clear stamp that has a block of stars and gold ink to add some stamping to the sky. Then I found a used my doodlecharms cricut cartridge to make to make the palm trees, seahorse (barely visible under the quote in the water), and sand castle. I also used a coordintating marker to ink the edges of them so the would stand out a bit more. then came the journaling. I decided to cut out a piece of vellum that would fit in that area and then I used that measurement to make a new page in photoshop and use the text tool to write it. I then printed it out on plain computer paper, taped the cut vellum over the printed area and put the paper back in to print again and voila! my only suggestion is to make sure you don't tape over the words or you'll print on the tape you'll later be taking off. finally I used tiny brads in each corner (2 yellow for sun and 2 orange for sand) to keep the transparency and page together.
