I know this is so long after you have done this, but I am new here and just saw it for the first time and it is an absolutely beautiful lo...did you end up putting it in a contest?
Great layout. You should enter but don't be too discouraged if it doesn't win. Last years layout really won based on journaling, they published the winning layout in CK mag, "My Mothers Shoes". Nothing special just a great story.
I love this one, Heather! I love the colors and the stitching and all of the perfect embellishments. Submit this one to crafts magazines baby contest. Here is the link: [email protected]
Craftsmagazine is planning a 2004 special issue and would like to see your darling ideas for baby paper crafts! We want to see all kinds of paper crafting techniques from stamping and collage to color blocking and using instant accents & stickers. Here’s what we’re looking for:
Scrapbook Layouts & Albums
Baby layouts in any of the following themes:pregnancy, baby shower, newborn, first photos, home from the hospital, bath time, milestones/firsts, smiles, playtime, portraits, toddlers, and special events: blessing, christening, baptism. Also, embellished album covers, pregnancy journals, and baby’s first year books.
Wow, thanks everyone. (blushing here) I stayed up late last night finishing this one, I just kept changing things around........finally decided I liked this placement best. You are all so encouraging, part of why I love this place! I plan on submitting it to the CK contest next weekend at the AZ Scrapbook convention. I have to get past the idea that my work isn't good enough....just bite the bullet and submit! I'll let you all know how it goes and thanks again SO MUCH for the lovely comments. You all are AWESOME!
It is absolutely beautiful. I had to add it to my favorites. i was not a scrapbooker when my ds was born, I never thought to take photos of just his little hands and feet, but I will of my next one and have to scraplift your idea! Good luck in the contest.
Jacci
LO of my youngest ds. These are some B&W that I took when he was 2 weeks old. I stamped his footprints the day we brought him home from the hospital and had to include them here. Thanks for looking!
