we have a rather large foreign 'money sack' as well since hubby travels overseas a lot. it's quite interesting.
when going through it I even find the kiddos chuck e cheese's coins too LOL
Keep the Canadian bill as they've switched to coins. My DS will like to see this as he's collecting as well. He has china, Haiti, Canada, UK and Chuckee Cheese (REally, he has that with his money collection. It cracks me up.)
Neat that you have sucres from Ecuador. I was sad when they converted to using the American dollar. My father still has some sucre bills. He is in Cuba this week so he might bring back some Cuban pesos. If he does I will mail you some for your collection.
A fun collection, i went to a bar recently where they had money pinned all over the walls, Wish i could remember where it was so I could go back and photo graph it!!
My husband does the same thing. I had collected american antique paper money but gave the collection to my oldest when he graduated High school. but hubby still collects foriegn money. It's fascinating to look at isn't it?"
very neat - hang on to that one dollar Canadian bill. They don't make them anymore. I should have saved one, but can't keep money long enough to save! :)
This is some of the paper money my parents have in their collection. It started when my dad lived in Germany and Austria, then any time he visited another country he would save some. Many of our missionary friends ave given some from the countries they serve in also. Represented here is Yugoslavia, Austria, Costa Rica, Burma, Vietnam, South Africa, Indonesia, Ecuador, Hong Kong, Philipines, Argentina, Canada, france, India, and some I don't know.
