Oh, this is adorable. The title couldn't be more perfect. Boys are such a joy, aren't they?! Great lo to honor the scary times! And fabulous attitude, Mama Em!
I love this! The story is good too!
Dont these kids just make your heart jump right into your mouth sometimes?! KWIM!
TFS, makes us realise not just our kids get up to these antics!
I have a Monkey, too, (must be a younger child syndrome) so this story really struck a cord with me! Seeing Sam like that on the stairs not only made my stomach knot up, but reminded me of the times mine did things like that, too! Oh, I feel your pain. Well, at least you can laugh about it, what else can you do!?
omg, how absolutely amazing is this!!!!! i LOoooooooooooove the way you did the title, the journal box and the wood frames...and of course, the story is the best!! gorgeous lo...hope you are submitting this babee!!
This is so cute! Both pics are cute, sounds like you have quite a handful with your son taking after your brother! I love your paper choice and the slide and conchos are great too!
Oh, this is awesome, Em!!!!! LOVE those photos and of course the journaling. Great choice of paper, too. I also like how you've used the 7G stickers with the conchos- very cool!!!
The top left pic is of my little brother, Ben, in the 70s. The bottom right pic is of my son last year (he's climbing the outside of the stairs).
Journaling: Ben was the biggest monkey as a child. He was constantly getting into mischief, whether he was pulling a pot of hot coffee on himself or slipping a pair of rubber gloves on his feet so he could climb the walls more easily. That kid was at least 50% primate. The funny thing is that even as a 30-something, he’s still getting into trouble. Just two years ago, he decided to try skateboarding and ended up snapping his leg in half and had to have a steel rod inserted to repair the damage. Not surprisingly, his sport of choice is rock-climbing. Go figure! The scariest thing for me is that Sam has definitely inherited whichever crazy genes Ben has. Sam has no qualms about stacking stools on top of chairs to reach high shelves where I hide goodies, nor does he worry about what will happen when he climbs up a 7-foot bookshelf looking for bubble gum in my purse “hidden” on the top shelf. So far, Sam has “only” gotten stitches once and had his nose x-rayed when I was sure it was broken, but he’s just gotten lucky. I’m afraid that with Ben’s genes playing a large role in his life, he will be destined to be incredibly accident-prone. Thank heavens for health insurance and good pediatricians!
