Well, DH is going to be in Barcelona on Mother's Day. Of all the cities he has to go to, it would be one of my favorites! So I'm taking FULL advantage of that fact, to take Friday and Saturday of this weekend and spend it up at the Scrapbook Clubhouse for their NSD weekend. Let's call it Faux Mother's Day.

While going through all my stuff, trying to preplan, I was burning the midnight oil last night on this layout. To me, it feels like another perfect part of my faux Mother's Day plans.

This picture is very special to me. Brianna had gathered up a bunch of wildflowers and was giving me the bouquet. It was one of those pictures that will stay in my memory forever -- and one of those Mommy moments that hits you right there, in the heart.

So I titled this layout, 'How Sweet It Is". No, I'm not thinking Jackie Gleason here (although I did have to Google that because I remembered there was a comedian that liked to exclaim that - but don't age me like that, k?) It's more like "How Sweet It Is" (to be loved by you). And that is what I'm writing in my little letter to her, in the pocket behind the photo. Did you notice that? There is a pink vellum envelope tucked back there, with a charm hanging from it that says, "For You". And it can be accessed from the top-loading page protector. I still love leaving little love notes in her layouts. I just hope they don't go by the way of the letters from the Princesses in her Disney books!

Happy Faux Mother's Day! I hope you get to find some creative time this weekend too!!
