journaling reads:
Kaydee: Can Gino be a princess today?

Me: Gino is a boy…. His friends might laugh.

Kaydee: But he loves to be a princess!
See? He won't take it off if I dress him up!

Me: Kaydee, he's not moving at all!

Kaydee: That's because HE LOVES IT!

Kaydon: DaaaYee (Daddy) Buh-Bye???
Me: Let's wear some different shoes… Daddy needs to wear those for work.
Kaydon: DaaaaaYeeeeee (Daddy: with more conviction) Buh-Bye??????
Me: Yes, Daddy's going bye-bye. Can I have Daddy's boots?
Kaydon: No-No! DaaaaYeeee (Daddy: but with an impatient tone) BUH-BYEEEE!!!
Me: Ooooh I see, you want to go with Daddy?
Kaydon: *BIG grin & kisses me* Buh-Bye (in a sing-song voice & still won't give up the boots)!
Me: Kevan? Kaydon has something to tell you! (muahahaha)

Kevan: (5am - calling on his way home from work) Do you have anything to do today?
Me: *thinking how does he ALWAYS leave himself wide open for the sarcasm?* Gee honey, I was just wrapping up my weekly order to Emeril for our prepared meals. Then it's off to the spa for a day of pampering. If there's time I was thinking of meeting up with some local scrapbook celebs for a luncheon at the Phoenician and then maybe meeting with my trainer… you know the one with the magic wand that has made every aging imperfection just disappear! The housekeeper has a list of chores that was assembled by none other than my rockin' personal assistant….. you know, Patrick Dempsey?! By the time my limo arrives this evening our Nanny (the multi-talented “Alice” from the Brady Bunch) should have all of the homework assignments/school projects complete, the kids bathed & in their freshly laundered pajamas, and our evening night caps waiting for us so that we can relax and discuss the day's highlights! Sound Good?
Here's the fine print translation: After being up multiple times throughout the night for a lost woobie, lost bedtime bears, drinks, potty calls, repositioning Lane, untangling Berto from his feeding pump tubing because he insists on scooting in circles in his crib I slowly make it to the coffee maker. After my ginormous cup of coffee the list making begins. Grocery lists, errands lists, to-do lists, phone call lists etc… In between getting kids off to school and either physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and early intervention there's always countless phone calls and making my way through my multiple lists ADHD style…. A few things done here, a few things done there etc… Naturally, this is barring any roadblocks with Doctors appointments, clinic appointments, case management meetings, state board meetings, school meetings, brownie meetings, play groups and heaven forbid it be LAUNDRY day! All just to name a few…….. Honey? Are you there?
Kevan: HaHa! I walked right into that one didn't I?
Me: Every morning sweetie, every morning! But I LOVE YOU anyway! So, how was your night?
Kevan: (laughing) You'll have to ask my personal assistant…. You know? Kate Hudson?!
Me: Oh really? Ok, just one favor…. Keep her away from Patrick!
Kevan: She wouldn't pass this up for Dr. Mc-what's-his-name!
Me: (cracking up hysterically) Ok honey! I love you!
Kevan: Love you too! Did you want me to swing by Starbucks on the way home?
Me: You have to ask??
