Yay! I'm happy for you, and what a great Mother's Day surprise for your mom. I love the color scheme, btw. Great pp. The brads are a nice touch. It's cool how you made the industrial look of the labels actually seem elegant. Another fab card!
Well, I had a 2nd interview at a 2nd company, and didn't get the job. I haven't heard back from the first interview yet....but wanted to surprise my mom in Tucson anyways. So! I booked my flight (dad's gift to my mom). I'm going to Tucson, and she has NO idea! I'm gonna surprise her on Saturday the 10th!
I started Daily Cards as a way to keep track of daily happenings, that I might otherwise forget. I didn't make up the tradition, but I love the sentiment, and figured i'd give it a go. It is also a way to scrapbook a little each day.
I make them by painting or covering a standard "playing card" with patterned paper. And adding my sentiment via a vellum quote stack, or a photo i've taken..or whatever I feel like! I have TONS of scrappy supplies that I probably wouldn't use..but now that i'm doing these - i've started to use some of those supplies!! :D It feels good!
