The Emerald City

This is my first scrapbook of this type.

The idea was initially that I wanted to make a couple pages out of my younger brother's high school musical in which he was the "Wizard" of Oz: but the one from "Wicked" so that he actually had a solo. The mom didn't like my swiping the photos she'd taken so I agreed to make a full scrapbook for the show.

As it went on it became apparent that this would become a gift for the teacher who put on the show. Even later we decided to have all the kids from the show sign it. This was a big lesson in learning how to make a scrapbook like this.

I wasn't there when they eventually gave the scrapbook to their teacher, but I heard she opened it, gasped, and cried: usually that trio means 'mission accomplished.'

I made another one after this, for "Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" and their teacher really seems to like having these as gifts.
