What a wonderful story behind this photo! It brought tears to my eyes!! What some parents will do to their children always amaze me!! Maybe this will be the start of something lasting!
This is wonderful, the design so suits this photo!! You did a fabulous job, and I am truly happy that you got to go to that game and see that young lady. How wonderful she called your family, and what a lame-0 mother she has to deny her daughter the support of her extended family.
Long story behind this LO.....My eldest son lived with a young woman for many years....and this is her daughter. Jasmine was 3 when they began going together and 9 when they separated....And Andi was the only father she ever knew . They adored one another and he LOVED being her dad. He taught her to ride a bike, skate, the multiplication tables, play softball...all the things a Dad does. He even helped coach her team....But when Andi and the mom separated she refused to allow any of us to even speak to Jasmine....So we never get to see her. This year (her Freshman year of HS) she made the Varsity softball team as catcher...and her last game of the year her mother had to be out of town, so we were invited to come! We were so thrilled to get to see her play, and I took many photos. This one became a LO all on it's own. I really think of her as my first grandchild, and am so very proud of her.
I wanted this LO to convey that pride! Oh, yes...And I should mention that this is a lift of a LO I saw a couple months ago in Scrapbooks, Etc. magazine. Love that publication!
