First off, sorry for the glare. The weather here is nasty and I needed to get a pic so I could enter this in a few challenges. This is for May's Basic Grey, oxymoron, and button challenges. All of the paper except the brown behind the journaling is Basic Grey mellow and infuse. The oxymoron is the title and you can see all of the buttons. I hand-cut the tree.
This is a LO about what it was like while my DH was in Iraq as a firefighter assisting the military. The photos are a tv that is turned off, a computer and chair that are empty, and a pic of my DH's war collection room. The journaling says: There's no war movies, news, Mash, or Hogan's Heroes; no TCM to act as a backdrop to my reading.
No clicks of the keys, laughs or exclamations over emails and ebay finds.
No turning of pages as you look through your reference books in the war room.
Silence can speak so loudly of all of these day-to-day things we miss.
Around the clock, I wrote: Time creeps by when you're gone.
Thanks for spreading positivity!
