Gosh Megan this is so HYSTERICAL!! I can relate! About 20 years ago a bought a puppy from a pet store! I was told he was a German Shepard! I named him Danny! Well they told me his ears would stand up! I would do everything to try and get his ears to look like a German Shepard's! I taped them up even! LOL!! As Danny got older it was clear to see that he was mixed with lab! But I always called him my German Shepard!
the story of the ears (hidden journaling): "Azzie, fix your ears for Mama." You can hear me say that at least a few times a week. I think Aslan looks so funny when his ears are mismatched-one falls down like when he was a puppy, and the other sticks out like the flying nun! I used to mind, but now I don't mind if both his ears are in the flying nun position (which is how they are almost always now). I just like his ears to be symmetrical. Not that I love him any more or less, I just think he looks cuter with symmetrical ears, especially when they are "fixed for Mama" (both down, like his left ear in the pic). Auntie Nate would always say to Aslan, "unfix your ears for Auntie," meaning she wanted him to be asymmetrical. I used to constantly mess with his ears so they were both hanging down--and he did not like (i mean he hated it) when I did that. So now I leave him alone and just say, "Azzie, Fix your ears for Mama!"
thank you to Nate for her design advice on this page
