This is an altered bookmark I made for a fantasy swap, magical creatures swap. It says: "Hope, like the mighty Phoenix, rises from the ashes." (The quote is my own.) The bird was embossed and colored with watercolor pencils. The red and orange shapes are actually gift wrapping tissue paper applied with a glue stick. I don't normally like using a glue stick but it was the perfect thing for paper so thin. TFL.
