My DH plays the piano for our church services. Everytime he comes to sit with me after the music is through, he sits so Far Away from me! We have a running joke that 'there is a great gulf between me and thee'.... and 'why art thou so far removed from me?'... and a myriad of other stupid little jokes that make us snicker like kids in church. The other thing about this that makes us laugh is that my DMIL also plays music for church and when she comes to sit down she sits right up against her DH, and he scoots over. She scoots closer to him, and he scoots again... she has to pin him against another parishoner to keep him from scooting! It is rather comical to watch from behind. My DH always teases that he will do the same - and then comes the 'great gulf' line. We're so nuts... we have fun though!
