This is for Marsha's (RN2007) "May Flowers Challenge". Because I only had the one single photo pf my granddaughter I still wanted to do a 2-page layout for her album I am working on. All the layouts in her album are 2-pagers so... Here is what I did:
I printed out on Kodak paper some photographs of real daffodil blooms and added it to both sides. I used Prima flowers... bottom is white and topped it off with a yellow for the center (like the daffodils that Bryce is sitting amongst!. I wanted to add the journaling so, on the left side layout, I left a slit on the left side of the photo mat open so that I could journal on the tag, then placed a bright sheer yellow ribbon on the tag to pull it out to read. I used some yellow butterfly stickers from the K&Co Daffodil collection. I wanted one of the wings on each to be lifted so I used double stick adhesive foam on it to raise it up as if it was fluttering. On ALL my layouts for Bryce I try to incorporate a "ladybug" because that is what I call her. There is a tiny one on the top of the tag near the yellow ribbon and another one in the lower left corner of the poem, and there is a metal engraved one on the right side layout. On the left side, I printed a Daffodil poem that I found on another web site and printed it out and matted it in the bottom right corner. It reads: "One little daffodil had nothing much to do, Out popped another one, then there were two. Two little daffodils were smiling at a bee, Out popped another one, then there were three. Three little daffodil were growing by the door, Out popped another one, then there were four. Four little daffodils were glad to be alive, Out popped another one, then there were five. Five little daffodils were wearing golden crowns, they danced in the breeze in green satin gowns. (Author Unknown)." On both sides I used a K&Co border that has a 3-D look to it along with some daffodils. I used some Maya Road naked Swirls and used green glitter on them. I used my Cricut to cut out the word "daffodil" in yellow card stock, added a little sprinkle of the green glitter to it then used Aleene's Paper Glaze on them to give them a dimensional glossy look. The metal word "Bloom" is from Dress-It-Ups" in the daffodil button collection. There is another little poem on the right side layout that reads: "God took the very bluest sky that hovers high above the hill. He mixed it with the truest yellow, only in the daffodil. And by some miracle unseen, he spread it where the grass is green. (Author: Eva S Carson)".
Thank you for looking!
