Hi Gabigabs. I've so enjoyed looking at your photo's and layouts. This one really shouted out to me; A wonderful picture AND Layout. I always appreciate artists who take the time to leave informative descriptions of their layouts. In fact, if I pull up an interesting LO and there isn't a descripton, I figure if the artist doesn't take the time to write about it...why then, should I? I would like to add, however, the repetitive descriptions you've written here, are a tad bit of 'Overkill'. Luv to you...
Love this LO! And I love these colors! I really like that little splash of blue paint against the black background.... Really makes it pop & draws attention to it!! :) And I really enjoyed your journaling too! :)
WOW THANK YOU FOR THE TOUR AND THE INFORMATION,ABOUT YOUR TRIP.I REALLY LOVED SEEING AND READING ALL THAT YOU WROTE. THANKS FOR THE TRIP. LOVED IT. SCRAPPY GRANDMA
I never thought of painting a whole block around my cardstock. Love that idea and the whisp of paint in the center is just perfect. I truly admire those of you outdoorsy, climb every mountain type. I'm a book nook, hidey hole, cozy comfy girl and it would serve me to climb a few hills every now and again....notice I said hills. :) Great layout.
I love everything!!WOW!Everytime I look at it I find another "oh/AWWW" detail!I love the bumpy frame...did you buy that? The geometeric effect around the buttons is way cool...The concentric arrow is fab....especially dig the Lines by the photo and the dry paint technique used there too!VERY ARTSY!!the cool, soothing colors makes me feel as though I can feel the brisk, clean air! TFS! :)
Being outdoors absolutely beats being stacked inside. It's true any time. No matter whether it is sunny or if the forecast calls for a torrential downpour, the fresh air filled with aroma of pine needles, songs of birds and bubbling creeks hold the magic, the call of wild that cannot remain unanswered.
I've been asked recently which trip was the most memorable this season. Every trip I've been on had something that made it special – sometimes a little think like a drop of water resting on a leaf reflecting rays of sunshine in a beautiful rainbow effect can make one forget the previous 2 hours of walking in a heavy rain and mud and bring nearly childish happiness to life.
It's very hard to pick just one out of the countless trips I did but perhaps Icicle Ridge stands out a hair bit more than the others. It was a trip that was never supposed to happened at the first place – our destination was Merritt Lake about 20 miles west but we had to accept fact that we cannot change the elements and due to avalanche danger opted for a different trail than planned. Even then Icicle Ridge was not our choice; however upon arrival to the general area we quickly figured out that if we want to increase a chance of seeing some snow today – and considering this was a snowhoe trip it was exactly what we were hoping for - we will have to abandoned our alternate plan and just only then Icicle Ridge became our objective.
