Mindy and I had a rather auspicious beginning to our relationship. In elementary school, she would always pull my braids, and I told her she couldn't play with Sarah on the playscape because "Sarah is MY friend." Yet, somehow we became friends, and inseperable ones at that. Long before I had a valentine, she and I would always spend the holiday together, bemoaning our singleton status. Actually, we also spent New Years together, as we had no one to kiss! Mindy's friendship has gotten me through many hard times, and she is the most supportive and loving friend a girl could ask for. Even now that we are off on our own, in different states and planning on starting families of our own, Mindy is my touchstone. Mindy will always be my valentine, and my best friend."
