LOVE your journaling on here Robin, how sweet is that memory!! and what a lovely lo out... love all your chipboard going on here and what a lovely house and lawn... yep I am certainly going to have to visit sometime in our life times!! :O)
Oh, Robin! This is GReat! I love the design and . . . if you come home and there's nothing but mud in your yard. . .I promise. . I wasn't the one took your grass. (It was Judy.)
Beautiful photos. Love your paper choices and journalling. We don't generally have to water our lawn...but I love mowing for a lot of the same reasons, lol
Pictures are the front of my house. The journaling says: "I love my green grass. I'm very proud of it and sometimes I like to hand water the lawn. It is peaceful to me. As I was hand watering the lawn the other day I looked across the street to my mother's house. That was when I remembered that my dad hand watered the lawn for mom almost every night. He could not remember how to do a lot of things with Alzheimer's but he could water the lawn for her.
Maybe I love to hand water the lawn so I can have peaceful moments like that. Moments where I can realize the small things I am grateful for...like having those memories of him...that is what I am grateful for.
That, & my green lawn."
What is so funny is that northern CA has been put on water rationing in the last week, since I started this LO, and now I will probably have a green/brown lawn because we need to cutback water usage by 19%.
This LO was done for the May Use Your Supplies Challenge, week 4, chipboard. I used lots of different chipboard from 2 sets I got from QVC (Fall and Winter). The letters are chipbd, the leaves at the bottom and the square with "of home" on it. And I think the g is actually a q, but not sure I care.
