This summer we didn't take a big vacation. Instead we went home to chicago in the spring and plan to go to the Dominican Republic in the fall. So we had to fill our summer days with lots of activities to keep you two busy and out of trouble. Being that it gets very hot and humid during the summer months in Puerto Rico, many of our days were filled with day trips to the beach to cool off. We'd pack our coolers with lots of water and juice (diet coke for me), pick up some lunch on the way and spend the afternoon at the beach. Cana Gorda Beach was a hot spot considering it is the nearest swimming beach near us. On weekends we'd hit the nicer beaches that were a bit further when Papi was home.
