Journaling reads: Oh Jocelyn, when I saw this t-shirt, I had to get it for you. Sweet and Sour-- I can’t think of a better description.

You must have made such a good impression on everyone when you were a tiny baby and slept all the time, because everyone is always talking about what a “good baby” you are. No one believes that you are not as angelic as you appear. You have a fiery temper and when things don’t go your way, watch out! I can’t believe how early you started having temper tantrums, flopping on the floor and thrashing around wailing. You weren’t even a year old yet! You have a low frustration level, and there’s no build up. One minute calm, the next howling in frustration. And we can’t forget about your clinginess. If we (especially mommy) isn’t right there with you, you whine and cry and demand attention. Yep, I’m afraid you can be a sour little thing.

Of course, you can be pretty sweet too. You are very affectionate and love to be hugged and kissed. You get very excited over anything and your whole body just bounces with enthusiasm. You laugh with wild abandon and your nose wrinkles up when you giggle. I love your facial expressions and the way you do everything with such gusto. And of course, I happen to think you have the cutest little face. In fact, when you are being particularly sour and testing my patience, I think to myself “oh you’re lucky your cute kid, otherwise we’d sell you on ebay!” (no we wouldn’t, you really are too cute for us to give you up).

So there you are. Sweet and Sour. And don’t worry, no matter how sour you get, we’ll still love you sweetie!
