Pg. two of the blankie layout.(the weird cut-out sides are because of the scanner... they are all straight IRL) More basic grey :)
Tried to get alot of pics in this layout, as I had so many great pics of dd inhaling her blankie!! Here's the journaling:
You really didn't know how to live without your Blankie. There was definitely no sleeping without it. You didn't just sleep with Blankie...you inhaled Blankie. Once when you were not even two years old, you were in the hospital because of a bad asthma episode, and you had to have Blankie. I was sure the nurses would take it away, but even they could recognize how much you needed it. Without it you would've been hysterical. There was a method to blankie-sucking of course. You would find a 'sweet spot' (It had to smell just right) and that's where you would suck. Then you'd rub the edging on your nose. So soothing! A terrible thing happened one day when we forgot Blankie at Kevin's house... poor Daddy had to drive all the way over for it, because you were certainly not going to take a nap without it! The day finally arrived, with no coaxing from us, where you just gave Blankie up. We were so shocked! You were four years old, and suddenly secure enough to let go. We were so proud. You're growing up, and you're turning into a little lady that we are proud of every single day. Blankie was a big part of your life when you were so small... I hope we never forget these little milestones, Emilee.
