Isn't it funny how I said I'd retire my Bazzill Hillary for a while? Tee hee. I must have missed it! :D And thank you to Miss Sweden for hosting the Basic Grey challenge because it totally encouraged me to break out my BG again! (Okay, so I didn't need THAT much encouragement, but I haven't scrapped with BG since my parents' album, so get ready to see a whole lot of BG! Thanks, Helen!)

This layout is centered around thoughts of my high school years. We lived at a Christian retreat center for my four years of high school, and it was just such an awesome experience! :)

Journaling: I have no idea who these women are. Well, I know my mom and sister, of course, but the others? I don't know them. But this photo reminds me of one of my favorite things about living at Snow Wolf Lodge. We made a difference in people's lives. They appreciated it so much… they even wanted to take photos to remember the special time they had with us! I met hundreds of people while we lived at Snow Wolf Lodge, and I know that experiences like this one made it all the more special. And one of these women sent us this picture just to tell us… how she grew to love us, in just that one week. I love that I was a part of that.

I've been sick (bleh), so I haven't scrapped. I REALLY wanted to scrap today (and *finish* a LO since I'm going through withdrawals), so I came up with this. Super quick and simple, but I had so much fun doing it. :)

I got the mailing label idea from Liz (elizzylee). Okay, okay, Liz, so you're digi and your elements are perfection, but I just had to use the idea! Most of my favorite LOs are digi, but I still love my paper... so I'll work with what I have... imperfection. LOL.

Anyway, thanks Liz for the inspiration on the mailing label. Thank you, Lauri (lyciosparks), for the idea to put patterned paper in part of the label! And thank you, Becky, for the "off center" journaling idea. :D

Should I thank Basic Grey too for making awesome paper?! LOL.

p.s. Though this looks very similar to a recent LO of Emilie's, I promise I had this sketched for weeks. LOL. I guess great minds think alike, Em! :)
