Don’t you remember that we were supposed to be a summer romance? We weren’t supposed to last a month and it was just supposed to be for fun. We even agreed on it! But during that month, something happened… we fell in love. I remember the first time you told me you loved me – in your Jeep eating McFlurry’s. We were fighting because neither of us wanted to ruin our perfect summer romance and take it to the next level. And I know, you said it first.
So summer ended and I went back to school and I missed you more than anything. I told everybody I’d met the man of my dreams, the man I was going to marry. Everyone laughed at me and told me that I was just being silly.
And then you came to visit, which is when this picture was taken. You were just about to leave when Stacia grabbed her camera and made us sit and take it on the bench in front of Main Hall. I was so happy that this turned out the way it did – we were so relaxed and happy – it was just the way I wanted to remember our time together.
People call it destiny, fate, coincidence… I know that our falling in love so completely and wonderfully was written in the stars and we are the players in a cosmic performance of passion, tenderness, friendship and adoration.
