WOW. This turned out SO awesome!!! I love how there are so many things that represent water! The page pebbles on the journaling are so cool, and I love the stencils/words down the side! ;) LOVE this!!
Great lo! Love the aqua colors, the title with monogram and word combines in each square, and the water "drops" highlighting key words of your journaling :)
This is fabulous - you certainly captured my attention, and I love that you have created the feel of water. More than anything, what a wonderful way to capture a memory of your sister.
This is a LO of my sister at the state championship swim meet.

Title: It takes: Determination, Practice, Commitment
Journaling (written by Natalie edited by me ;) ): Swimming isn’t for wimps. It really does take a lot of determination, practice, and commitment. We have 5 a.m. practices in addition to our after-school practices, which last several hours. In the summertime we still have two practices per day. There is no “off-season” in swimming, just lots of practice year-round. I am constantly setting new goals and improving little by little each day. Obviously this requires plenty of commitment to stick with such a vigorous program. During the regular season we have meets once a week. I’m always trying to achieve a new personal best time for each event I participate in. Weeks before the big meets, like region and state, we have taper. During taper we don’t eat any sugar. We also have to be in bed by 10:30 and up by 6:30. The culmination of these efforts is realized on this one important day when I get to compete in the state championships. This is the day where I get to prove to myself and others just how far I have come and how I can be a winner. During this kind of competition it takes determination. It takes determination to be a little faster than I was before and hopefully just a little faster than the girl in the lane next to me.
*Note: I wanted this LO to simulate the look and feel of water. Here are the design elements that capture that. The color of the cardstock represents the color of water in a swimming pool. The curvy line on the left side to simulate waves. The ric-rac is also to represent waves in water. Page pebbles to look like water drops on the journaling.
