I ripped those parts on the first set of pages, but since I was burning the edges with a woodburner anyway I found I liked cutting and then bending back the paper because I had more control and was still altering the edges so you couldn't tell I cut instead of tore.

Made the horseshoes pretty simply. The "nail" accents are just pieces from an iron-on transfer I laid in place and stuck the woodburner onto to melt the backing glue to the horseshoe shape.

Horse cutout I traced and then used the woodburner to cut it out and add some burn marks/accents onto.

This was when I first decided to add lyrics onto all the pages so the journaling is very light and different from the other pages where I added it. Reads: "Territory folks should stick together, territory folks should all be pals. Cowmen dance with the farmers' daughters, farmers dance with the ranchers' gals!"
