SHCG: So cute! I just love that dog of yours! The look on his face is hilarious. It is as if he is simply tolerating your celebration. :-) I love the primary colors. Absolutely perfect for a birthday celebration. For some reason, I want the happy to touch the birthday....just me. Love this.
SHCG: OMG! *whispering* (We weigh the same!) My friend has a German Shepherd who thinks he's a puppy, and he such a big dog, too! Anyway, I love your use of primary colors for a non-schoolkid page. The layering is great and all the sparkly elements. I adore that little birthday tag and your sweet journaling. I'm really digging Amanda's idea about a doodle border. Two more things: I'd like to see the Happy Birthday strip scooted over to the left so that the bones pp peeks out the other side. That way the page doesn't look so bisected and makes my eyes stop moving from left to right. Maybe even consider not having that strip run the entire length of the page. Finally, I'd go with a sparkly green, dark blue, or black button for the flower center.
SHCG: I love the pic on this LO, Tank is just so darn cute!! I would sugest doing a simple doodle border around the out side edge of the blue cs in black to tie all of the elements together to that adorable pic.
SHCG: My first reaction is very cute. LUV the photo and the colors. Then something struck me about the rounded corners on the blue polka dot paper. Maybe rounded corners don't work for layers (not that I am a layering expert). Something I have to ponder...
SHCG - OMG what a cute photo & fun page! I think the pp coordinate just fine, the colors are great & they all work together nicely for a 5 yr old's birthday! The pp layering is marvelous. Great sparkly yellow letters. I am kind of wishing for a little more flow between the "happy" & the "birthday" stamp... perhaps by moving the "birthday" tag to the top left of the flower & moving the flower a little down. Absolutely love this page commemorating your 11o lb "puppy"'s birthday!
SHCG: Awwwwwww! Rocko would NEVER let us put a hat on like that! This is a fun LO and too adorable. I would suggest a bit of doodling about 1/2 inch from the edge all the way around and I may have inked the pp's a little but a great LO still!
SHCG: Cute! I want more fun on this page though, because this is such a fun event... perhaps some more themed embellishements, buttons, or that too-cute ribbon elsewhere on the page.
Tank's 5th birthday, April 28, 2008. This is totally simple, but I'm happy with how it turned out... I know the papers don't quite match, but I'm trying to use up what I have. :) I borrowed a PageMaps sketch for this.
