SHCG: Wendy, this is fabulous! First of all, I am just totally digging the building. That is such a rad picture and you picked the absolute perfect embellishments to complement the pictures. Also, I agree with Brenda, your layering could not be more perfect. The textures and colors that you combined are visually stunning. I love this and can't think of one thing to change! Perfection!

SHCG: Um, yeah. (Raising hand.) When I grow up, I want to be a layering genius like Wendy. Please? Thank you. I'm not gonna lie, girl, this went straight to my faves. And, I'm not even gonna try to pretend that I have a critique or suggestion. This is fantastic! The corrugated tin, the strategic layering, that manages to look like you dropped your contents onto a page and they just happened to look so cool and perfect the way they landed. I'm diggin' the mix of military elements, 7 Gypsies journaling tags, ghost shapes, and the distressing and crackling that is reminiscent of abandoned warehouse in the middle of nowhere. As for the sparrows, I am especially drawn to them for two reasons: 1) I love how they are not perfectly rubbed down flat, and 2) they really do conjure up images of birds flying around a vast no-man's land. Finally, I love the title--"Nome"-where--clever!

SHCG: This is a very interesting page. I really like the vintage, heritage, miltary feel. You did a great job of not going overboard. The corrugated tin is fantastic. I wouldn't even know where to get something like that. And the perfect amount of stars. Very interesting inking the ghost shapes. Only question would be "why the black birds? Doves?"

I love the B&W photo & all the distressed elements you've added - the corrugated tin & metal dog tags, the aged-looking paint, the painted ghost star & various interesting papers, all of it.
