Where to start my friend........The torn papers, the stitching, the beautiful stamped title, the colours you chose for the page......it is all wonderful. The pic is just the cutest, but the journalling is something so very special. James, that is some song, and you will now have a record of it forever.......just GORGEOUS!
Wow Lenore, you have an amazing young man in your midst!! I just can't get over a 7 yo penning such profound words!! No wonder you and Rusty are so proud!! Gorgous page, I love the torn edges and the alpha blocks!!!
Awwwwww, beautiful journaling, Lenore! You have such a sweet and SMART boy there! Great job on the layout - love the torn strips behind the photo! Very sweet!
WOW! That is quite a young man you have there. And you could not select a better photo to go with it. Love the torn papers and stitching. A lovely memory my friend.
Oh Lenore, I LOVE this! Great pic of James- the colors and design of the layout really compliment it! And wow, his song is awesome- amazing that someone so young came up with that! TFS! Straight to my faves!
The pull tab under the picture leads to the explanation of how the journaling "got away from me and how it didn't fit under the picture, so I put it on the backside of the layout!" The journaling on the back reads: Dear James, I have been thinking for quite awhile about what the journaling should be for this scrapbook page. Some how telling you again how proud of you I am or how much fun I am having watching you grow up just isn't enough! Then yesterday, while taking a ride in the car, I heard your voice from the backseat say, "Mama, I just wrote a song!" When you sang it to us, Dad and I looked at each other, amazed that a 7 1/2 year old could have come up with these lyrics! Your words have so much depth and meaning! If I had been looking through a book of quotes for this layout and had come across your lyrics, I would have chosen to use them here! They say exactly what I want to say to you, my little man! You DO amaze us, each and every day! So here they are, your very own works, back at 'cha kiddo.....
"Follow your passion, It's something you can't stop. It's best to follow them, It's your dream. Don't stop your dreams in their tracks. If you don't have dreams, that's OK. Maybe you'll find them someday."
You amaze us and make us so proud every single day!! We love you so much, James!! Love, Mom and Dad
