Wonderful tribute to your friend. Love the way you did the titlem the pps, and the journaling on the transperancy. Having unexpectantly lost my ds last Christmas this lo has touched me deeply; thank you so much for sharing :)
This is a page that I did to remember my friend who passed away in January.
The journaling reads:
Linda Diane Simmons February 4, 1958 – January 15, 2005
Although I knew you less than a year, your sweet spirit and calm nature immediately earned my trust and respect. You always had words of encouragement and I enjoyed the time we spent together.
The diagnosis of ovarian cancer was unexpected. You were so young and full of life. You had so much to give others. And I was just getting to know you. I had no idea you would be gone in less than 12 weeks…
I wanted to visit you, but you were not feeling well from the new medication and you wanted me to visit the following week. It was important to me that I get to see you in person because I wanted so much to share my faith with you. I told you I was praying for you and I dropped some books by – hoping you would get a chance to read them before I came to see you. I wanted to share my relationship with Jesus with you. I wanted to tell you all about His love.
The following day, I was aware of the most serene feeling all around me. It was as if my soul was being embraced. I immediately knew that you had passed and it was as though the Lord was telling me that it was okay.
It was almost two weeks later that I found out for certain that you died that day.
I miss you, Linda. I wish we had been able to have that last conversation, but my heart told me that day that you had found Peace. I’ll see you again, my friend.
I used Basic Grey pp, Bazzill, and some Nostalgiques embellishments/stickers. "Linda" is cut out of handmade paper with the Funky Brush script Sizzlits die cuts.
