OMG - this is wonderful! Love your heartfelt journaling along with all the photos you used. I have to get busy and scrap as I have lots of photo's especially of my childhood for heritage pages. My mom passed away the middle of March so now it is time to get scrapping some memories and not spending so much time in the scrap stores for awhile loading up on the supplies....and not using my stash.......
This is A BEAUTIFUL LO & WONDERFUL, WONDERFUL MEMORY!! Myself & my Kids did not have Grandparent times growing up. I figure I have those 2 generations to make up for spending time w/ mine!

This is a page about my grandpa- I tried to keep it simple and frill-free as that's the kind of guy my grandpa was. I printed the journaling (yes, wow I actually journaled lol) on notebook paper and then tore and inked the edges.
The journaling reads: "When you look at this picture you see just an old swing. But I see something different. I see memories of my childhood days. Days when I couldn't wait for school to let out so I could go down to Grandma and Grandpa's house. I always wanted to be with Grandpa, whether he was working in the garden, in his garage, or just watching football. But my favorite thing to do with him was to swing. I remember sitting on the back porch, just the two of us swinging away, as I sat in his lap and he sang to me. It was so soothing. Sometimes I would just fall asleep listening to his voice. These memories may not seem like much but they're all I have of him. And that is why I will always cherish them...Journaling: 5-7-08"
The little pictures are just old pictures we had of my grandpa doing the things that he loved doing. I machine-stitched around the edge of the layout. The ribbons are by American Crafts. I tied a little string around the flourish and the buttons are just some we've had forever. Thanks so much for looking!
