nice capture of the intent of the holiday, very sweet model.... I had learned that "Decoration Day " was more of a Confederate term it was a different day than the Union Memorial Day...I grew up hearing the term Decoration Day. but for us it was the day we went "to the country" and decorated family graves.
Formerly known as Decoration Day, it commemorates U.S. soldiers who perished while in military service to their country. First enacted to honor Union soldiers of the American Civil War, it was expanded after World War I to include American casualties of any war or military action.
