My 3 year old DS went to a vacation bible school / backyard bible camp at a neighbor's house. There was a rock climbing theme and a field trip to go climbing.
Journaling reads: Cameron spent his mornings July 25th-29th at a Vacaation Bible School hosted across the street at the home of his friend Zach. There was a climbing theme for the week, and Cameron had fun playing games, doing crafts, and learning about his faith. While asking him about what he learned that day, he told me that it's hard to climb a mountain and you need a rope to keep you safe if you fall. I asked him if anyone holds the ropeand he replied, "No, just Jesus. He catches you." The highlight of the week was a trip to a real climbing wall. Cameron was afraid at first, but became brave very quickly. He was disappointed when the time was up, because he didn't want to stop climbing.
